Zoomin Overseas Training Scholarships

Background

The NZ Craftsman Training Foundation has restructured their long standing overseas training scholarships to help NZ employers train, retrain and develop good staff with a short-term overseas training placement that will have them back at work in New Zealand in only four to eight weeks.

Eligibility

Applications are open to all qualified trades people who meet the Training Award guidelines. Employers are encouraged to put forward names of potential scholarship recipients to be considered.

Awardees can be placed in Australia, or the Northern Hemisphere depending on the industry. Placement is dependant on funding, visas and available opportunities.

Who is eligible?
Awardees who travel under the auspices of the Foundation are highly skilled and experienced tradesmen and women, who have been selected for their achievements and leadership qualities.

Value

Each awardee will be provided with a travel and accommodation grant to enable them to train overseas for a period of four to eight weeks- and the foundation will work with the person's employer, if needed, to help them organise a suitable overseas itinerary.
