Quest for Excellence Scholarship

Background

Quest for Excellence post-graduate scholarship that recognises and rewards exceptional people. It is designed as an incentive for New Zealand's hearing impaired or deaf students, whose hearing impairment affects their ability to communicate and who, as a result, have had to overcome great odds. Its principal purpose is the pursuit of excellence.

Eligibility

Moderate or greater hearing disability which affects the ability to communicate

NZ Citizenship or permanent residency

Undertaking or intending to undertake postgraduate studies at a university either in NZ or overseas.

Candidates may be self-nominated or by nominated by one of their peers.

Value

Up to $15,000 (Scholarship covers fees, equipment, accommodation and anything else deemed appropriate by the administrator.

Closing Date

Applications close 30 September each year.
