The Le Va Mental Health and Addiction Scholarship

Background

The Le Va Mental Health and Addiction Scholarship programme supports the development of mental health services for Pacific people.The purpose of the scholarships is to:

• develop a more skilled Pacific mental health workforce
• have a supported and sustainable Pacific mental health workforce
• increase the number of Pacific peoples' mental health workers.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Le Va Mental Health and Addiction Scholarship you must be a New Zealand resident of Pacific descent, and enrolled in a health, mental health or health management related tertiary programme at a New Zealand Tertiary Institute.

If you're not yet enrolled for your proposed course of study, but intending to do so, you can still apply for a Le Va Mental Health and Addiction Scholarship, and in this case, any scholarship will be conditional upon your successful enrolment.

Value

The value of the awards will vary.

Closing Date

Expressions of Interest close at 5pm on 31 July 2009.

If your EOI is successful, your full application must be received by Le Va no later than 5pm, 16 October 2009.
