Hoe WhĀ Problem Gambling Programme Undergraduate Scholarships

Background

Funded by the Ministry of Health, these undergraduate scholarships are part of a new workforce development initiative for staff working in problem gambling or gambling sector.

The Hoe Whā Scholarship aims to build the problem gambling and gambling sector workforce capacity to support the Ministry of Health's integrated problem gambling strategy to prevent and minimise the harm from gambling.

Eligibility

The undergraduate scholarships are available to those:

• currently working in the problem gambling or gambling sector, and
• undertaking a relevant study programme in the 2012 academic year

Value

A minimum of four undergraduate scholarships of up to $4000.00 each year will be available. Applicants can be in full-time or part-time study.
