Douglas Taylor Sport Exercise and Science Scholarships

Background

The Scholarship was established in 2006 by the Perry Foundation in recognition of the valued work of founding and long-serving Trustee, Douglas Taylor

The Scholarship is open to students who enrol full-time or part-time, at the Waikato Institute of Technology in one of the following programmes:

• Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Honours)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science
• Postgraduate Certificate in Sport and Exercise Science
• Master of Science (Sport and Exercise Science)

Eligibility

The Selection Panel will award the Scholarships on the basis of commitment and contribution to the field of sport and exercise science, involvement in research and academic merit. Preference may be given to applicants within the Waikato-Bay of Plenty region.

Value

Two Scholarships will be offered. Each Scholarship is to the value of $2,500.00 and will be for a maximum of one year.
