Aviation, Tourism and Travel Training (ATTTO) Academic Scholarships

Background

Scholarships for secondary students who are intending to progress through to a tertiary provider to further their study in Travel and Tourism. Below are the details of the two available – both Flying Start and Next Step. All students who are currently studying STAR Tourism would be eligible to apply for these.

Flying Start Scholarships

• Tourism Flying Start

Value

Winners can enrol in their next level of ATTTO qualification and have all study-related costs up to the value of $1,000 covered by ATTTO.

Who Can Apply?

• Any secondary school student who currently takes part in a Tourism or Aviation Gateway programme.
• Winners must enrol in a qualification in a workplace or through a tertiary provider within 12 months of finishing school.

Applicants must submit

• A relevant Application Form
• A 300–500 word statement about “Why I am passionate about my chosen career, the aspirations I have for the future, and how the ATTTO Scholarship will help to achieve this”
• A recommendation letter from a current teacher/tutor
• A photograph of themselves
• Optional: additional related evidence may be attached
• A letter of support from their current Gateway employer

• Aviation Next Step
• Tourism Next Step
• Travel Next Step
• Museums Next Step

Value

Winners can enrol in their next level of ATTTO qualification and have all study-related costs up to the value of $1,000 covered by ATTTO.

Who Can Apply?

• Any secondary school student who studies Aviation, Tourism or Travel. The Museums Scholarship is open to students studying subjects that have a clear linkage to the Museums industry.
• Winners must enrol in a qualification in a workplace or through their tertiary provider within 12 months of winning the scholarship.

• Details of previous work/volunteer experience and study
