Local talent to flourish in Wintec’s Hot House

Wintec is helping local talent achieve the recognition it deserves at this year’s Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival with some well-aimed sponsorship.
Wintec Hot House
Wintec presents a stunning line up of some of New Zealand’s hottest young talent - and all home-grown in the Waikato.
Wintec Hot House is a free concert featuring Anna Hawkins, Ashley Cooper, Anna Coddington and Eashalon, along with Knights of the Dub Table and Strayhound, which were formed by Wintec Mediarts students and graduates.
If you’re looking for a full day of free entertainment, and the chance to see close-up the talent shaping New Zealand’s music scene right now, check out Wintec Hot House (10am-5pm Sunday 21 February, on the Roger’s Rose Garden).
The Topp Twins
Hamiltonians celebrate - although we missed out being a host city for the Topp Twins’ national tour, thanks to Wintec the quirky pair will perform here as part of the arts festival. (Rhododendron Lawn, Saturday 27 February, 5pm. Tickets $38 adults, $20 12-18 years, under 12 free).
Grab your tickets early as this will likely be the only chance to see the acclaimed show, featuring new songs and some of their favourite characters.
Wintec will also later this year confer on the Huntly-born comedians/musicians Lynda and Jools Topp, honorary Masters of Arts (Music).
Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival 2010
Now in its 13th year the festival is a two-week celebration of arts and culture in the Hamilton Gardens and surrounds.
Typically 60,000 people attend shows and performances at each festival. The festival is a mix of free shows and paid ticket performances.
