Wintec venues a popular choice

Since opening in September last year, Wintec House has hosted an array of business conferences and meetings, corporate functions, exhibitions, glittering gala dinners, school balls and award ceremonies.
A four day Gallagher Security conference was recently held in Wintec House for 200 international delegates. The Atrium in Wintec House was the primary space for the conference with The Long Room and rooms in the adjacent Bill Gallagher Events Centre used as breakout spaces.
Margaret Comer of Gallagher Group organised the conference and said: “We held the Gallagher Security Channel Partner conference at Wintec and it was an excellent choice. Being on a busy campus helped create a real buzz amongst conference attendees and the different environment was stimulating. The Atrium’s great natural light, the ease of access between breakout spaces and dedicated AV support all contributed to making our conference a success.”
Another coup for Wintec House was being chosen as the venue for Paper Plus’ Mother’s Day event Books n Bubbles – the first time this event has been held in Hamilton. Three hundred mothers and daughters attended a high tea in The Atrium where New Zealand personality Kerre Woodham spoke to a captivated audience along with four guest authors.
Wintec House has two venues – The Atrium and The Long Room. The Atrium can hold 350 people for banquet seating or 500 cocktail. The Long Room is a smaller dividable space which holds 40 for boardroom seating, 60 banquet or 150 cocktail.
The Atrium’s natural light and high ceiling makes it an ideal space for exhibitions, expos and product demonstrations. Wintec’s School of Media Arts held its student showcase exhibitions in the venue last year and the Waikato Hairdressing Competition is being held in The Atrium later this year.
Another point of difference for The Atrium is its large video wall. Measuring an impressive 2.3 metres by 4.14 metres, the video wall can be used in any lighting conditions to create extra impact for presentations, rolling images, movies and live video streaming.
AV support is included within the hireage fee for all of Wintec’s venues, so clients can be assured that their needs are met within budget.
Also on Wintec’s city campus is the Bill Gallagher Centre which is located within Wintec’s award-winning Gallagher Hub. Both venues are on Wintec’s city campus, in the heart of the CBD and less than ten minutes walk to Hamilton hotels, restaurants and bars.
