Communication Pathway

Studying at Wintec has been awesome, I was able to graduate with real industry experience from the internship programme, and enter into the industry with comfort and ease.

A team of experienced professionals who are currently leaders in the local market sets Wintec's course curriculum, they ensure that our students are being equipped with the most relevant skills and knowledge.

Advertising is a fast pace industry that's full of surprises.
I joined King St Advertising during the last year of my study at Wintec. Since graduation I've successfully become a loyal member of the Media department working as a Media Executive.

On a daily basis, I liaise with media representatives, looking after Media Planning and Buying. It's also my responsibility to manage deadlines for material dispatch.

Basically, the client gives me a budget, and I go shopping!

The secret is knowing how to spend the budget wisely and most effectively. Sometimes it's about negotiating the best deals, other times it's about working hand-in-hand with the creative execution and environment which the medium offers. The skill rests in making sure that each placement creates a connection point for the target market to consume our message, therefore generate a response.
