Personal Statement

Julie has a wide and varied background in the design disciplines of Industrial, furniture, fashion, textiles and interior design. As the Programme Manager of the Interior Design programme, Julie brings a wealth of current design practice philosophies and skills to the teaching arena.

As a practicing designer and colour analyst, Julie has strong links with the design profession, is an active member of DINZ and works on research projects for the industry accreditation process. She has a teaching background from Unitec and more recently the Auckland School of interior design, CPIT.

Involving interior design within the Media Arts sector gives a creative and comprehensive environment for students studying in the interior design field and allows the cross pollination of design ideas across all disciplines. Julie's passion for this dynamic industry continues with maintaining strong work ethics and engaging in Australasian colour forecasting and planning.
