• EBL - A web-based eBook lending platform, providing access to a selection of books on a variety of subjects.
  • Using EBL:
    Quick browse - You have 5-10 minutes to browse without having to borrow the eBook.
    Borrowing - Downloading the eBooks gives you access for up to 7 days. Downloading activates full text access for the length of the loan, and triggers the print and copy functionalities.
    Returning - After the time period you nominated at the point of downloading expires, the eBook is no longer able to be viewed unless borrowed again.

• NetLibrary eBooks - 146 titles on business and related topics.
  • Using NetLibrary:
    Quick browse - You have 15 minutes to browse without having to check an eBook out.
    Checking out eBooks - Checkout allows you 24 hour exclusive use of the title. Checkout a book by creating your own free account and checkout a book to your account.
    Returning eBooks - Checkin is automatic after 24 hours. If you have finished with an eBook before 24 hours is up, you can check it in again using your eBook account. This will allow others to use it.
    No reserves are available.

Free to Web eBooks:

• British Library Online Gallery - Turning the Pages is the award-winning interactive program that allows museums and libraries to give members of the public access to precious books while keeping the originals safely under glass. Initially developed by and for the British Library, it is now available as a service for institutions and private collectors around the world. Turning the Pages allows visitors to virtually 'turn' the pages of manuscripts in a realistic way, using touch-screen technology and interactive animation.
   
• Early New Zealand Books (NZ) - The Early New Zealand Books Project has been developed by staff at The University of Auckland Library. It aims to provide the keyword-searchable text of significant books published about New Zealand in the nineteenth century.
   
• Google Book Search - Search the full text of books to find ones that interest you. Selected viewing of pages is available for copyrighted material. Public domain or copyright free material is available in fulltext.
   
• Manybooks.net - Free eBooks for your PDA (or iPod).
   
• New Zealand Electronic Texts (NZ) - An online archive of New Zealand and Pacific Island texts and heritage materials, which offers an ever expanding set of images and full-text books, manuscripts and journals.
   
• Project Gutenberg - The first and largest single collection of free electronic books, or eBooks. A library of 17000 free ebooks whose copyright has expired in the USA.
