How we can help

Wintec offers a high level of personal support to all of our international students so they can get the very most out of their time at Wintec. We can:

• arrange for you to be picked up from the airport and driven to your accommodation when you first arrive in New Zealand
   
• give you advice on different accommodation options including helping you find a place to stay in in Hamilton
   
• provide a orientation programme for you for each semester
   
• offer academic, social, personal and cultural support during your time at Wintec

Our Facilities

Wintec also has a number of facilities to help students, including international students. They include:

• a Health Centre
• Cafeterias offering a range of food
• a Bookshop on campus
• a prayer room - specially built in the Gallagher Hub for Muslim students (open from Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm)
• Library
• Student Learning Services
• the Globe is a dedicated room for international and domestic students to meet and relax and is located in the Gallagher Hub
• 24 hour computer access at the Gallagher Hub

Accommodation

Our International Centre staff can help all international students to find the best place to live while studying at Wintec. Most international students find private board, live in a hostel or apply for a place in Wintec Student Village. Some students may also choose to go flatting.
