Foundation Studies

The Centre for Foundation Studies can provide you with the platform to:

• Go on to further study
• Enhance your work skills
• Or simply pursue your interests

You can study certificates in study skills, computing (from beginners to advanced), and health studies. There is also a range of short courses available. These include First Aid, grammar and report writing online, Māori Language and culture and a variety of Adult Community Education classes that are offered in partnership with community education providers.

Centre for Foundation Studies also works closely with Literacy Waikato and Wintec's own Literacy and Numeracy Embedding Unit to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of students.
