The Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3) will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for office administration, computer applications and receptionist procedures.
This programme is recommended for those who have some word processing skills and wish to build on their skills and knowledge, as well as those wanting to enter other careers where administrative skills are essential. You can study full or part-time.
It is also possible to include the National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3) within this programme.

Career Opportunities
The Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3) will lead to a variety of office-related jobs such as Receptionist, Office Junior, Administrator, Records Officer or Data Processor.
Entry Criteria
- 12 credits at NCEA Level 1 in English or Māori, or
- National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 2), or
- Equivalent qualification, or
- Relevant business experience
- Candidates who have English as a second language are required to have an International English Language Test Score (IELTS) of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in the written band.
Candidates are also required to demonstrate keyboarding skills of approximately 25 words per minute and be able to competently operate a PC.
Special admission may be granted to candidates aged 20 years or over who do not meet the specified entry requirements. These candidates may be required to demonstrate an ability to successfully complete the programme through a process of an interview and / or assessment.

You will study at Wintec’s School of Business which is located at the City Campus. Lectures and tutorials are delivered by staff who are highly qualified and who have extensive experience as practising professionals in their field. This means you will be well prepared for the reality of the work place. The modular structure and flexibility of programmes allows you to complete various external qualifications within your chosen programme and to study modules from other Wintec schools. This also allows you to tailor your programmes to meet your specific career plans. Graduates from the School of Business have been successful in gaining employment in the area of their choice.
