A 10 minute walk from the city campus, and near the Orbiter bus route which goes past Wintec's Rotokauri Campus. The YWCA provides permanent or casual accommodation for both men and women.
Student rates start at $120 per week for a single room. The first four weeks' rent and a $240 bond must be paid on arrival. Each room has a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, study lamp, chest of drawers, and a telephone jack point.
There is a kitchen on each floor with a stove, microwave, fridge and freezer. There are coin operated laundry facilities, coin operated internet facility, TV and video.
Hill Street Lodge

This 31-room hostel is just across the street from Wintec City Campus. It is divided into four blocks of units.
Pots, crockery and cutlery are provided in the kitchen but you'll need to take your own linen.
Residents make their own meals. No alcohol or partying is permitted on the premises. Smoking is allowed outside only.
The rent is $120 per week for a shared room or $160 per week for a private room. The rent includes the cost of electricity.
The lodge holds one week's rent as bond. Rent must be paid weekly in advance.

Provides a Christian environment for 54 residents. All rooms are single and have a bed with drawers, a built-in desk, a wardrobe and a chair. Staff are on duty 24 hours per day. Meals are provided seven days per week, with tea/coffee/milo and toast/fruit available between meals.
Late dinners are available if you have evening classes, sports practices etc. Linen is included.
Other facilities include TV/Video, Sky TV, table tennis table, pool table.

Each one bedroom apartment contains a double bed with duvet and pillows, bedside tables, couch, TV, kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave and electric frying pan, bathroom with shower, toilet and basin, dining table and chairs.
